CPS Phases-In Later School Start Times at Two High Schools

Two CPS high schools will have a later arrival and dismissal time when students and staff return August 19 for the 2019-20 School Year. Earlier in 2019, the CPS Board of Education passed a resolution directing the Administration to phase-in later school start times for CPS high schools over the next three years.

Dater High School and Western Hills High School will have later school start times starting this fall.

Dater High School (7-12)
Start Time: 8 a.m.
End Time: 3 p.m.
Change: 45 minutes later

Western Hills High School (7-12)
Start Time: 8 a.m.
End Time: 3 p.m.
Change: 45 minutes later
